    What Does Code p2154 Mean

An oxygen sensor for a particular engine bank has a voltage signal that does not cause a failure code within the accepted parameters, causing the PCM to cause a trouble code and possibly relieving the service engine quickly. Bank 2 usually denotes the engine of the engine block that does not contain the number one cylinder. S3 tells you that the fault is found in the sensor 3, or the downstream sensor (back cover of the catalyst / s).

The code means there is a problem with the heater element circuit of the heated oxygen sensor. Getting water inside the heated oxygen sensor connector can cause the sensor fuse to blow heated oxygen, which causes a very common problem for this type of codes. Check for the replacement of the sensor for the condition of the heated oxygen sensor fuse and connectors.

    Possible symptoms

P0062 DTC contains fault indicator light illumination. You may not see any other symptoms associated with the failure of the heated circuit as it only runs when the vehicle is first started. This sensor is also after the catalyst, so it will not affect the air / fuel ratio input to the PCM / ECM; It is mainly used to check the efficiency of the catalyst.
    • Corrosion of or oil saturation on the electrical components of the oxygen sensor, such as the wiring or electrical terminals
    • A faulty PCM or ECM
    • An open or a short to ground circuit condition
    • A blown oxygen sensor fuse
    • An internal heater element fault of the oxygen sensor
    Possible Causes
    • Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 2 Sensor 3
    • Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 2 Sensor 3 circuit poor electrical connection
    • Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 2 Sensor 3 circuit fuse
    • Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
    • Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 2 Sensor 3 harness is open shorted
    Troubleshooting P0062

This code can only be caused by problems in the O2 sensor heater circuit or by the sensor itself.

Heat O2 sensors usually have four wires - two of which are connected to the heater circuit and two are the power and ground for the sensor. In this case study, it only goes with the heating circuit.

You will want to get the wiring diagram of your vehicle to make sure you test the correct wires.
