    What Does P0235 Mean?

The PCM has detected an abnormal reading in the turbocharger boost sensor “A” circuit. Circuit A represents a particular boost sensor (where multiple sensors are used in conjunction). There is no set rule for positioning of boost sensors. Check manufacturer’s specifications for specific boost sensor locations.

What are the common causes of P0235 ?

P0235 is an OBD-II generic code that is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects intake boost pressure sensor A input malfunction when compared to the manifold pressure sensor (MAP) at idle, and with the key turned on before starting the engine.

How do you troubleshoot P0235 ?

Deactivation of cylinders is achieved by releasing a synchroniser pin that normally interlocks the cam follower and rocker arms. P0235 code resolves the synchroniser pin is released using hydraulic pressure which is controlled by a dedicated solenoid.
