    What Does P0306 Mean?

P0306 is an OBD-II generic code that the engine control module (ECM) detected a misfire on cylinder number 6 of the engine.

    engine code P0306P0306 fixobd P0306dtc P0306
obd code P0306obd2 P0306P0306 car codediagnostic code P0306

    codigo P0306codigo falla P0306P0306 kody b??dówcodigo de falla P0306

What are the common causes of P0306 ?
    • An air leak forward of the DPF will change the sensor readings resulting in the code
    • Rusty exhaust systems, cracked exhaust manifolds or damaged or missing gaskets or donuts will cause air leaks.
    • Faulty IMRC actuator relay (if equipped)
How do you troubleshoot P0306 ?

The engine system, in conjuction with the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM), activates the P0306 code solenoid valve to control oil pressure to the engine mechanism that is installed in the valve system to switch valve timing between Low and High.If the engine solenoid valve has an open or short circuit, a DTC is stored.
