    What Does P0377 Mean?

OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Timing Reference High Resolution Signal "B" Too Few Pulses
The engine control module (PCM) sends a duplicate signal of the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) to the Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM). If the signal to the FICM becomes corrupt, the PCM will set code P0377.

What are the common causes of P0377 ?
    • An air leak forward of the DPF will change the sensor readings resulting in the code
    • Rusty exhaust systems, cracked exhaust manifolds or damaged or missing gaskets or donuts will cause air leaks.
    • Fuel with a large percentage of sulfur will clog the DPF quickly
