P0469 Code - Purge Flow Sensor Circuit Intermittent

What Does P0469 Mean?

This indicates that a portion of the EVAP control system is no longer functioning properly. The EVAP system consists of components including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines, charcoal canister, purge valve, system pressure and flow sensors, electrical wiring and connectors, vacuum lines, the fuel tank, and fuel vapor hoses.

What are the common causes of P0469 ?

• Fuel with a large percentage of sulfur will clog the DPF quickly
• The Mass Airflow sensor will also cause this problem. Mass Airflow circuit malfunction.
• An air leak forward of the DPF will change the sensor readings resulting in the code

How do you troubleshoot P0469 ?

The valves of each cylinder are kept closed using a pair of arms that replace the conventional engine's roller-type rocker arm. P0469 code one of these arms follows the cam profile while the second arm connects to the valves. During normal engine operation the two arms are joined by a locking pin.
