What Does P0622 Mean?

What are the common causes of P0622 ?

One simple reason for the code could be a battery charge issue. Otherwise, these three causes are the most common:

• A malfunctioning generator
• A generator harness that is shorted or open
• A generator circuit that is suffering from a faulty electrical connection

The least likely reason would be that the PCM simply stored the code erroneously, but it is possible.

How do you troubleshoot P0622 ?

With the valve disconnected, the red voltmeter lead should be attached to the IMRC valve power wire and the black voltmeter lead connected to ground. It should be pretty close to battery voltage (12 volts). If not, then this is the circuit that has the problem.
