    What does P0922 Mean?

OBD-II Code Transmission may not shift properly is defined as a Gear Shift Forward Actuator Circuit Low

The Transmission is responsible for converting the power produced by the engine to movement of the vehicle. The transmission has its own control module (TCM). The TCM uses solenoids to control the fluid pressure that activates the different gears inside the transmission. If the TCM sees an implausible signal from the shift solenoid, code P0922 will be set.

    • Shorted wires, corroded connectors, or other damaged electrical components

How do you troubleshoot P0922 ?

While fuel economy was increased, acceleration was seriously compromised, and the loss of engine vacuum led to a dangerous loss of braking assist when the P0922 code system was in four-cylinder mode. In addition to these issues, while the company proposed a hydraulically controlled system that could be switched from within the car, the version they implemented had to be manually changed in the engine compartment using hand tools.
