    What does P0937 Mean?

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the Hydraulic Oil Temperature Sensor. The TCM sets the OBDII code when the Hydraulic Oil Temperature Sensor is not to factory specifications.

What are the common causes of P0937 ?
    • Some aftermarket accessories and performance modifications
    • A faulty oxygen sensor. This will set a code in itself, however, a faulty oxygen sensor does not automatically condemn the sensor. The code just means that the sensor signal was not within specifications. An air leak or any of the above will cause an erroneous signal. There is a multitude of O2 codes relating to O2 performance which gives a clue to the problematic area.
    • Faulty IMRC actuator relay (if equipped)

How do you troubleshoot P0937 ?

The valves of each cylinder are kept closed using a pair of arms that replace the conventional engine's roller-type rocker arm. P0937 code one of these arms follows the cam profile while the second arm connects to the valves. During normal engine operation the two arms are joined by a locking pin.
